Returning to WoW 2nite, will be making a paladin. comments/

ok i had an insane pvp char pretbc lvl 60 paladin prot/ret called cillitbang, pvp god. used force reactive disk etc etc and melted everyone.

got banned for glider lawl.

made a shaman to 70 in tbc then got bored n sold it.

want to come back , think about draeni paladin.

ive heard ret is the pvp template to roll now adays with sick crits n what not.

is a pvp mainly protection with ret still viable with holy shield etc. i still think played by someone that knows what they r donig, such as myself or zalgradis, this will destroy world pvp, altho not sure about arena, may work in a 3 or 5 team, but not 2's. cba doing ret really like the rest of wow.

and before anyone says it i am a very very good pvper (i know most wanabees say this) but i know how to play wow, so im really just asking if prot/ret paladins can still pvp very well.

i cant view any talent trees as im stuck at work =D

Ret is an ok pvp class, and prot is not viable for pvp anymore. If you're well geared as ret you will do ok, but ret is pretty bad. The biggest problem with being ret is mana, you run out of it way too fast to be very effective.

And if you say Ret pally LFG for something, most everyone will be LOLRET.

yeah im on the TR right now, and i can say there isnt any pally that is ret or prot, there all holy, and sadly, dont succed at all, i find teams in 2's and 3's the eaisest to beat when they got a pally, and see it as a autowin lol

but imo if ur REALLY all about pvp and arena, roll a druid or rogue or lock

if i were u i would jump on the TR and try out w/e class u want so u can see how they r in pvp at 70 before u make one

i will go on Tr 2nite and test it, altho i am convinced that a 0/42/19 paladin can still wtf pwn people if played by a skilled player.

i wont play a rogue because everyone is a goddamn rogue and its ez mode
i wont play warrior because i hate not being able to heal myself in a fight

The biggest problem with ret pallies is their very small mana pool, which mana = dps for ret. And their lack of CC abilities which almost all the other dps classes have an abundance of.

It is a joke but what people dont understand is that when you have a 6 sec stun and damage that cant be resisted since there is no holy resist, plus you can get stormherald which has a 4 sec stun proc. Thats 10 seconds an enemy is both attackable and useless. And all through it your hits are going for 1k every 2 secs with your other moves and judgements that means the enemy is dead without you taking any damage. Then you have repentance which is a 6 sec CC. If you get a mace rogue/warrior on your team you can easily stun lock anyone. Ive had ret pallys top DPS meters in kara and by saying that I mean the CRUSHED the other people with almost 500k more damage. And Crusader Strike does 110% weapon damage on a 6 sec cooldown meaning as long as you have mana (as Crusty said ) you can win

Then when you think about your team, Pallys have 3 of the best buffs in the game with Might, Wisdom, and Kings meaning they have a buff perfect for everyone. And they have their aura of choice

i decided last night im rolling gnome rogue only class i havent really played aggressively pvp wise in wow so im guna give it a shot. ive seen reards do well on rogues, so an experienced pvper like me it shud be npnp gg lol.

Rogues are really fun to PvP with, and yes, you will run into alot of retarded rogues who you'll 100-0 very easily :p.

Hey guys, just a progression report. managed to get from 1-26 over the weekend in 14 hours played i think. i use a ingame guide from TeamIdemise which was worth the $30 for sure. hopefully should be 60 in 2 weeks or so, then 70 in a month, rdy for WoTLK, can grind some honor and get boosted in arena for some gear.

Never known leveling like on a rogue. my friend chucked me 500g, so i just buy everything for the right level without buying overrated stuff, and not even any point stealthing just run into 2-3 mobs at the same time sinister x 3, slice and dice repeat, its ez mode. only died once so far, and that was in the Loc Modan in the bonsplitter/seer cave when that boss ran in with his 3 mobs while i was already taking on 2 mobs.

looking for a rogue expert on the matter, what is the best pvp spec around at the moment i heard 19/42/0 but what do u guys think? and are swords still preferable over maces?

For PvP tons of people are going ShS/hemo with maces, swords or fists. I've seen 20/0/41, 17/0/44, tons of different variations of the spec just depending on what people like. I haven't really seen anyone say that one specific type of weapon is better than the others, like how swords are still the best for PvE. I also see some people(few and far apart) use mutilate with the S3 dags or dags you can get from badges, and I see way too many people using ShS/hemo with dags which I'd imagine is just terrible.

well first off i wont be able to level ur char cus i work 9-5, then gym and squash everyday, doesnt lerave that much time for wow, especially as im a bit of a clubber, so cant play any saturday, and most probably friday night is out of the equation.

2nd, ur all american, while im from europe, which means i cant play ur WOW client. BUT if when i get to know u guys better and u help me with templates gear etc, ill send the guide (ingame one) to u for free =)
