Deathwing as you probably seen while selecting realms is a PvP server. So all you guys who play on normal or other realm types you know not of the survival tactics i have to do to get around those nasty little contested and horde controlled places.I have however through my expirences found how to avoid those nasty little gankfests by learning some survival techniques.
The techniques might not work for all races and classes for i play a NE hunter so i have access to the best racial and best ability in the game. Shadowmeld and Feign Death.
1) Say you are hiding out by SM by the summoning stone and you see on your radar a group of hordies coming either to the stone or coming out of the instance. you have no idea teh levels or even if you could survive getting mobbed so heres what you do. Hit up aspect o the beast (making you untrackable by hunters just incase there is one in the group with track humanoids on. Then you either Feign death (which sadly last only for 6 minutes) or Shadowmeld. I usually back as far away from the edge of the litttle hill over lookin the stone and shadowmeld.
This technique has saved my ass more times then i can count. Cause if you play on a PvP server you know what its like to see a group of hordies coming your way and getting the sh.t kicked outta you. (this also appies the other way around for hordies too)
2) If you are in a party with a guy the same level as you and he LOVES to gank or fight other lowbies. If he kills someone try to get AS MUCH DISTANCE away from him/her as you can. I have learned that a dead hordie screams to his momma for help and boy does momma sure pack a sh.t load of epics and power. If you can't get away in time. /beg, /sorry, /bow, /apologize make a good chance that you will probaly be spared. If not you are going to die....... A LOT!!!
3) If you gank show some honour and don't camp out the person. He/she will prolly be in local defence screaming there characters lungs out saying where he/she died you level and you class. that means if you camp you get OWNED by hordes of hordies who will camp you!
4) God how better to say this. RUN YOUR A>S of god knows you have a mount if you are high enough level.
5) If a low level hordie runs up to you in PvP and /spit to you. They prolly have a lvl 70 Rogue in waiting or gettting ready to gank you. This means RUN!!!!! Either that or kill the lowbie and run your ass off. Although if you kill the lowbie this will agrivate teh 70 tht was with him/her and you will die ....... A LOT!!
6) You just gotta love bruisers. They don't take sides and its always fun to watch even if you die to see a hordie try and run from a mob of the little b.st.rds.
7) When there is nowhere to run and nowhere to flee to you can always die valiantly, I.O.W. fight for your life. this has reprocussions though. if you lose you get camped if you win you are prolly going to pull a mob that will finish you off allowing your prey to assume the role of hunter and not hunted.
8) Hiding in the bushes has never been so easy as a Night elf. All you have to do is either /sit, /kneel, or /ley and then use shadowmeld. Its hiding in the bushes advanced. Makes you totally invisible even if the hordie is within sight range of your character!!!! SHADOWMELD FTW!!!!!
Those are some tips and triks i have learned from playing on PvP Realms all of my WoW career and i have learned one thing from all of it.
