View Full Version : Patch 2.3 - Worth Returning to WoW For?

This question was asked on our forums and it\'s a question many people have answered, mostly saying the same thing - Yes.

The increase to levelling speed from levels 20-60 has reduced the grind dramatically, resulting in more and more players dusting off their alts to take up the challenge of reaching level 70 once again.

Before the recent implementation of patch 2.3, I (like many) hit a "wall" at around level 40. There seemed to be a lack of activities and quests that I was able to solo. Once you get in that rut, it\'s hard to motivate yourself to play on. But many first time players of WoW hit that wall, and simply stopped playing.

Will this change mean we will see people returning in droves? I think it might. And, as pointed out in the forum thread, this is certainly a good tactic by Blizzard. With the next expansion on the horizon, a faster way to level and experience the new content is surely tempting. It means that anyone buying WoW for the first time now will reach level 60 sooner and easier than before, therefore more likely to buy TBC and WotLK.

However, there must be some of you that don\'t agree that this was a good move. What about the skill of players, won\'t it be less than it was before? Will we see players who don\'t know their characters as well as they should, due to the shorter levelling time?

Even though the 20-60 lvling has been made easier its still not as simple as 1-10 or 10-20 there still is a chalange to lvl so I don't think that the mass WoW players skill will decrease because its not a cake walk. And the people with the low skill before 2.3 will still have a hard time leveling, and maybe get 1-10 levels then quit again. It wasn't excatly hard to get 1-60 before patch 2.3 it just takes time and like anything you have to put time into it.

Am I the only person here who realizes that the OP is a gold seller? His site links are most likely key loggers, his english is terrible... the only thing that makes him origional is that he keeps posting, and keeps posting new ''discussion starters'' which most likely are just to get you to click the link (like most key-logger/gold farming sites do now days anyway).

... not to mention the blatent advertising he's been doing.... ummmmmmmmmmmm.... hrm.

well. i joined this site when it first started. then i stopped wow and quit the site. but with the release of this patch i am personally returning to wow to get my chracters up in lvls. i too, when i hit around 40 just hit a wall of not beening able to level. weather i was just dying while trying to grind or not being able to do the quest i threw in the towel. but what is this, its easier you say? well i am back to give it another run at 70.

ps.yay for me coming back:)
